Originally from Crystalhurst, Verdigris’ family moved to Phaendar after a reprisal attack from the fey of the Blight killed his father and left the young boy permanently scarred. Now his mother Ivory makes a living as a hunter and tracker on the outskirts of town while training her son in the martial ways of shifters.
The Blight attack left Verdigris permanently changed – instead of hair he has long green leaves growing from his scalp, and his forearms and hands have the look and feel of tree limbs. Odd even for an elf, he has always struggled to find a place in the town and spends more of his time wandering the forest with his mother than interacting with townsfolk. He is known to the farmers and others living on the edge of town as a shy figure that sometimes helps out those in need. And he has a reputation as something of a scarecrow.
